CNC Machinist

Johnson Service Group is currently seeking strong CNC Machinists for a large, reputable company in Savannah, GA. These positions will be 90 days Temp-To-Perm. Excellent benefits apply upon being hired permanently.

SUMMARY:

Will perform overhaul of turbine components.Independently read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.Field and/or shop experience in maintenance or service of turbine components, especially valves, is highly desired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive, disassemble, investigate, repair/adjust all types of turbine valves and other customer products and equipment.

- Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints and planning sheets.

- Perform visual inspection and dimensional measurements using precision tools. Document all findings on Data Sheets.

- Perform assembly of valves and parts.

- Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills and drilling equipment as required to repair components or manufacture new.

- Bench and clean parts.

- Operate blasting equipment to clean parts.

- Prepare units and parts for shipment, include paint and preserve.

- Instruct other employees as necessary and as assigned.

 
EDUCATION: Associate Degree in technical field is preferred, or at least five years related experience.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE: 1st and 2nd (Hours for 2nd shift = 4:30pm - 2:00am)
