Description:
Staff Electrical Engineer responsible for the design, specification, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems including integration of turbine generator electrical system interfaces and control, transformers, switch yard, and electrical grid interconnect for utility scale renewable energy plants. Will be primarily responsible for conceptual and preliminary electrical design, conducting cost-benefit studies, engineering subcontractor oversight, preparing engineering calculations and documentation, interconnection and construction support for multiple projects and proposal efforts. Primary projects are concentrated solar power (CSP), Photovoltaic (PV) and Biomass-to-Power, Biomass-to-Fuel, Waste-to-Energy, and Energy Storage plants.. Job Requirements:
Required Skills / Qualifications:*10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer *Minimum of 6 years experience in power plant electrical systems which includes design, analysis, conducting cost-benefit studies, engineering calculations and documentation, subcontractor oversight, test and construction support.*B.S. Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Preferred Skills / Qualifications: *Requires proficiency in AutoCAD*Requires good working knowledge of NEC (National Electric Code) and NESC (National Electric Safety Code).*Experience with power plant electrical systems is desired. *Experience on EPC project teams providing input to scheduling, cost estimating and scope definition activities.
