Human Factors Engineer

***This position has the potential to be located anywhere throughout the Continental US and/or Overseas.  An exact determination will be made by ManTech.

Conducts basic and applied research in the area of man/machine interaction throughout the acquisition and development cycle of military systems. Performs data collection, study and statistical analysis on these systems from an operator/equipment interface standpoint.  At a minimum should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering psychology or industrial psychology with a concentration in human factors from a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.  Should have a  minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in human factors engineering research with respect to the development and deployment of military systems.  Should have expertise in MANPRINT and a working knowledge of military standards and specifications covering human engineering guidelines and design criteria for military systems.  Should have knowledge of the parameters of human cognition including serial and parallel processing, visual perception, attention allocation, reaction-time tasks and speed accuracy tradeoffs.
