Examine permits, licenses, applications, and records to ensure compliance with licensing requirements. Review technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements. Perform laboratory work such as logging numerical and visual observations, preparing and packaging samples, recording test results, and performing photo documentation.  Arrange for the disposal of lead, asbestos and other hazardous materials.  Determine the nature of code violations and actions to be taken. Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures. Record test data and prepare reports, summaries, and charts that interpret test results. Make recommendations to control or eliminate unsafe conditions at workplaces or public facilities.

Job Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related work experience.Additional QualificationsAt a minimum should have a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, chemistry or related fields from a college or university accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant manufacturing or repair work experience in environmental compliance program implementation, monitoring and remediation, and/or hazardous materials management program implementation. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and the National Environment Protection Act (NEPA) regulations are required. Should have experience in personnel protection and safety and standard operating procedures for hazardous materials handling, field methods, and industry standards.
